Casablanca opens its doors to water professionals. From June 11 to 13, 2019, the Moroccan capital will host the International Water and Sanitation Technology Exhibition (SITeau). Organised by the Moroccan Water Coalition (Coalma), the event promotes the green economy through water, sanitation and energy. The meeting will also highlight the opportunities in the water and sanitation market. According to the organisers, SITeau represents an opportunity to strengthen the social responsibility of companies in their strategies and management. The idea behind the exhibition is to present water and environmental protection actions not as a burden, but as assets. This could, in turn, stimulate innovation, create jobs and new jobs.

For its 6th edition, SITeau is organised around an international conference at which representatives of public agencies and administrations, SME and start-up operators, development and cooperation agencies, sectoral professional groups, etc. are expected.

The exhibition will give participants the opportunity to showcase their achievements in the water and sanitation sector, share their experiences with other participants and learn about the progress being made in the sector. It will also enable them to develop trade, business linkages and investment opportunities.

In addition to the conference, SITeau offers an exhibition on water professions, B to B working sessions and a Hackatton on the theme “4 digital water”. Over three days, participants will reflect on how to explore the place of water in a new development model, integrating the paradigms of “climate change and ecological transitions”. This will allow them to propose innovative solutions and improved governance scenarios. The event is a milestone in the preparation of the World Water Forum to be held in Dakar in March 2021.
