Assess the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the different municipalities of Cameroon. This is one of the objectives of the second edition of the Cameroonian SDO Days (JCODD). The event scheduled from October 29 to November 02, 2022 at the Yaoundé City Hall, also intends to strengthen the understanding and level of integration of the SDGs in local development plans and identify good practices and strategies to accelerate the localization of the SDGs within the councils of Cameroon.

Among other activities on the program of this event, an Eco-jogging and human investment session, plenary sessions on the SDGs, co-creation workshops, roundtables, and an exhibition-fair.

Nearly 5,000 people are expected to attend this event, including policy makers, academics, international organizations, civil society, economic operators, development partners, technical and financial partners, academic and research institutes, students, populations, households and businesses.

Indeed, the Cameroonian Sustainable Development Goals Days (JCODD) “are a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue that aims at an integrated approach to the identification of strategies and actions that can enable Cameroon to achieve the SDGs by 2030. They are intended to be an annual meeting throughout the 2020-2030 decade, which is the decade of transformation of the SDGs,” explains Marienne Makoudem, the coordinator of the JCODD and also the president of Africa 21 Cameroon.
