Ambition Africa 2019's mission is to present Africa as a gateway of opportunity for French and European investors. The conference will be held at the end of this month (October 2019) in Paris on the theme "Private equity in Africa: growth drivers for companies and investors."

A number of themes are on the agenda, with a particular focus on energy, water, waste and urban development in Africa.

How to find financing for development projects in Africa? This is an issue that remains relevant in almost all African countries, most of which are in the process of development. This concern is one of the reasons for holding the second edition of the Ambition Africa forum. The conference will be held from October 30 to 31, 2019 at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Paris (France) on the theme “Private Equity in Africa: Growth drivers for companies and investors.”

In addition to being a time for discussion between African and French companies, the Ambition Africa conference is an opportunity to equip participating companies to implement and lead sustainable projects on the continent. More than 1500 companies are expected, including 500 from Africa. The two-day event will support the development of African private equity, on the one hand, and present market opportunities available on the African market to French and European investors on the other.

For its organisers, the Ambition Africa forum is the B to B reference event between African and French companies. In fact, 2,000 business meetings are planned for the occasion. The event is organised by Business France, under the patronage of the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron.

Green economy on the agenda

In the afternoon of October 30, participants will have the opportunity to revisit some of the main themes related to the development of the green economy in Africa:

– How to develop urban mobility in Africa?

– What energy mix for tomorrow’s Africa?

– Water and waste: two major challenges for Africa.

All these issues are being addressed in order to find appropriate solutions that will provide African companies with the tools to enable them to take better advantage of green investments on the continent. This will make it easier for them to benefit from French experience in water and waste management, green energy development, etc.

Companies can register for the summit via: https://events-export.businessfrance.fr/ambition-africa

For African companies, participation is free of charge, but will be based on a selection made by the organising committee.
