“Let’s hurry” – to save the environment through dispatches is the motto issued by the Institute of la Francophonie for Sustainable Development (IFDD) and the Mava Foundation (a foundation for nature, based in Switzerland). The call for proposals is presented by its designers as a “rallying cry to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy”. The campaign will collect feeds in the field of sustainable environmental management which will be used to gather information on the topic from French-speaking countries in real time. The themes for the competition will focus, inter alia, on the economy of the environment, the green economy, the sustainable economy in French-speaking countries. Candidates will be able to address issues related to water management, climate change, sustainable energy, natural resource management, waste management… Francophones from around the world under the age of 35 can participate in the competition.

Each day, from September 1 to November 31, 2018, participants will be able to send reports written in French via the Mediaterre online newspaper. A committee will evaluate them for possible publication. At the end of the awareness campaign, a competition will be organised to reward the best contributions. Thus a great opportunity for young people from French-speaking African countries.

Further information about the competition is available via this link.
